It used to be that the invitations which Apple issued for its press events were relentlessly cryptic. These days, they tend to be only somewhat cryptic. When there are raging rumors that an upcoming event will involve a smaller iPad, and the invite makes reference to “a little more to show you,” you can be reasonably positive that a small iPad is imminent. Along with other stuff, maybe.
