For those of you who have been waiting patiently for the HTC One to hit Verizon, at least you have something a little more concrete to look forward to.

As Android phones go, the HTC One is very nice. A handsome technology blogger once remarked, “It’s the finest I’ve ever used, and I’ve used a fair number of Android phones in this line of work.”

I had early access to the AT&T version of the HTC One and, upon showing it off at a poker game to several Android-toting gentlemen who were trying to take my money, several inquired about whether it would be available through Verizon.

That answer is now a confirmed yes, according to Verizon’s Twitter account.

Of course, not having an exact date — or even a ballpark date, really — isn’t all that helpful. And keep in mind that “summer” technically stretches all the way into late September. But for those of you who have been waiting patiently for the HTC One to hit Verizon, at least you have something a little more concrete to look forward to.

For those of you who don’t want to wait until late summer, the phone is available now through AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
