This is not the first time this golf cart hovercraft has appeared on this site. But the last time it showed up, the date was so close to April Fools’ Day that it seemed too good to be true.
Well, it’s now mid-July and Hammacher Schlemmer — purveyor of wonderfully outlandish gadgets — is selling the very same hovercraft for a cool $58,000.
Designed in collaboration with professional golfer Bubba Watson, the golf cart’s money-trick is its ability to glide across water hazards (see above video). It apparently wreaks less havoc on the environment as well but, again, it glides across water. Let’s not lose sight of that.
Oh, and it has a top-speed of 45 miles per hour. Let’s not lose sight of that, either. That’s fast enough to shave a decent amount of time off of an 18-hole round.
