Google’s been at the top of the heap since mid-2011, but July found Yahoo edging Google out: roughly 196.5 million uniques for Yahoo versus roughly 192.2 million uniques for Google.

Yahoo’s recent acquisition of Tumblr didn’t affect the numbers, either, as comScore told Sterling, continuing, “Seems there are other factors at play, and given how close Yahoo Sites and Google have been in recent months it can likely just be normal seasonal/month-to-month fluctuations.”
