Pressy is a button – like a real, physical button – that sits in the headphone jack of your Android phone, sticking out less than a millimeter.

Yes, you lose your headphone jack, but – BUT! – you gain an extra button to which you can assign a wonderful, whimsical array of functions.

The default actions are as follows, according to Pressy’s Kickstarter page:

• One short Click to toggle your flashlight

• One long Click to toggle your phone in and out of silent mode

• Double-Click to snap a photo

So three functions with one button. Not too shabby.

Things get really interesting, however, when you use the Pressy app to customize the button yourself. You can set it to start a voice recording, set it to check you in on various social networks, toggle your wireless connections, send preset text messages and more.

Pressy is raising money through Kickstarter but has already surpassed its funding goal. A $17 pledge will get you your own button – the team is hoping to have them shipping out by March of next year.
