AllThingsD’s John Paczkowski is reporting that Apple’s next unveiling will take place on Tuesday, October 22.

That’s according to unnamed “people familiar with Apple’s plans,” though AllThingsD has a good track record with these Apple events.

If this seems a bit like déjà vu, you’ll recall that Apple just held an event to unveil two new iPhone models – the 5c and 5s – back on September 10.

This time around, Apple’s expected to unload non-iPhone goodies – a new iPad Mini, a new standard iPad, some more info about the previously-introduced Mac Pro and some more info about the latest version of OS X.

Paczkowski re-kindles rumors of a slimmer side-bezel iPad (one that looks like the iPad Mini does but that’s got a 9.7-inch screen), and rumors of the iPad Mini’s display getting the high-resolution Retina treatment. The latest scuttlebutt was that these iPad Mini displays may be in short supply, so it’ll be interesting to see what the launch date would be for the new iPad Mini and how easy (or hard) it’d be to get.

No word on the event’s location – Paczkowski guesses either Apple HQ or the oft-used Yerba Buena Center, but rules out the California Theatre in San Jose, where the iPad Mini was unveiled last year.
