A jury Thursday ordered Samsung Electronics to pay Apple $290 million for copying technology in the latest legal bout between the two largest smartphone-makers.

The figure is down from the $1.05 billion awarded by a previous jury and later tossed out by a judge, but Samsung is still expected to appeal the newer verdict, the Associated Press reports.

The verdict Thursday addresses 13 older Samsung devices that allegedly copied iPhone and iPad features. Another trial in March will consider Appleā€™s allegations that newer Samsung devices also copied Apple technology.
