NomadAs location-aware apps guzzle down smartphone battery life at an increasing rate, you’re more likely to run out of juice than cash when you’re on the town. As a result, the brains at Nomad thought up ChargeCard, a $25 USB 2.0-to-smartphone adapter engineered small enough to fit in a wallet. With two varieties for either mini USB or Apple Lightning ports, the ChargeCard is a clever way to always have your cord handy, and since it can draw 3.1 amps of electricity, it can even recharge a tablet in a pinch. Of course you’ll have to find a USB port to plug in to, but from AC outlets to external batteries, those are commonly available. If your wallet is already Costanza’d to the max, Nomad’s newest innovation, ChargeKey, may be a better choice. Currently available for pre-order, this durable, pocket-ready adapter does the same thing as its big brother, only it can be looped into a key ring for safe keeping, instead.
