Remember when Netflix and YouTube were the only sources of streaming video on Apple TV? Those days are long gone, as new apps continue to arrive on Apple’s set-top box in a steady drip.

One of the big new additions is Crackle, a source for ad-supported movies and TV shows. Crackle’s lineup isn’t huge, but it does have full episodes of classic TV shows such as Seinfeld and The Shield, along with Jerry Seinfeld’s amusing web TV series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

WatchABC is also climbing aboard, with on-demand TV episodes and live TV for cable subscribers. A new Bloomberg app provides business and finance news, and if you’re into Korean television, KORTV provides free and premium channels with DVR-like functionality.

Apple TV’s streaming video collection isn’t nearly as abundant as competitor Roku, but Apple has been adding lots more options over the last several months. HBO Go and WatchESPN were added in June, followed by Vevo, Disney, Weather Channel and Smithsonian in August and Disney Junior and MLS Soccer in September. The number of third-party apps for Apple TV now stands at 27, alongside Apple’s own iTunes, Podcasts, iMovie Theater and photo and video apps.
