Butterfingers. Fumblitis. The Dropsies. Do you suffer from any of these afflictions?

If so, HTC thinks you might be interested in its latest smartphone offer. If you buy the HTC One Mini (Baby Bear), the HTC One (Mama Bear – our pick for reigning best Android phone) or the HTC One Max (Papa Bear) and you crack the screen within the first six months of owning it, the company will fix it.

The fine print is that you can only get the screen fixed once and, of course, if you crack the screen after the six-month mark, you’re out of luck. And this offer is only good for phones purchased after February 18, 2014.

Still: Not a bad selling point for those of you klutzes out there who refuse to hide your beautiful phone under a few millimeters of silicone.

I was fortunate enough to just run into this article as I broke my phone yesterday and it was purchased 4/10/14, so what a relief. Called Sprint and they suggested  I pay the deductible. No one ever mentioned this program. Please be aware that in addition to you paying $29.99 for the expedited shipping, with the other option being free but you may be without a phone for 7-10 business days, there will also be a $599.00 hold put on your account until HTC receives your old device.

I would be easier and cheaper for HTC to simply ship the screen with the original purchase. I like the lowering of the price by HTC of the unlocked HTC One 801e. http://ow.ly/tOBS0
