Holy crap! Google is pushing out an update to all Nexus One owners this week that unlocks a bevy of features including pinch-to-zoom in Maps, Gallery and Browser. Google Goggles will magically appear as an embedded app, too. Google is also addressing 3G issues. Maps is also being updated with the following features/fixes:

Palm made a splash at CES in 2009 with the announcement of webOS and I’d say they’ve done a good job maintaining that momentum. A year later, they’ve added Verizon and AT&T to the roster and updated both the Pre and Pixi with – what some might call – minor updates. It’s been a week since the Pre Plus (Pixi Plus, too) went on …
After some shipping issues, Techland has finally received review units of the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus for Verizon Wireless. Both devices launch on the 25th of this month for $149.99 and $99.99, respectively. After a $100 MIR and 2-year contract, of course. The unlimited data plan for Verizon is $29.99. A unique and exclusive …
In a month’s time, a gaggle of journalists and bloggers from around the world will descend on Barcelona for Mobile World Congress. I won’t be attending. The biggest news will likely come from Microsoft’s camp and I have a meeting scheduled with them prior to MWC. Said news will revolve around Project Pink and Windows Mobile …
As it stands, the Nexus One sells for $529 unlocked or $179 for new T-Mobile subscribers. Existing T-Mobile customers who were eligible for an upgrade and already had existing data plans had to fork over $379 while those without data plans were paying $279. Not very fair, IMO.

The Android Market pales in comparison to Apple’s App Store based on number of apps, but that doesn’t mean the quality of apps available to Android users aren’t up to snuff. We’ve listed 12 18 apps that cover a wide range of interests and genres but is not indicative of the Android Market as a whole. Think of this as a starting …
It’s never an easy task to review a device that you’ve had for less than two or three or even four weeks. The rush of trying to be beat other outlets constantly hangs over your shoulder. Do you rush to get a review out and subject yourself to the criticism that comes with having left off the most critical or asinine factoid possible? …

As you can imagine it’s hard to cover a conference like CES — the Consumer Electronics Show which wraps up Saturday in Las Vegas — on your own. Actually, it’s impossible. This is the stuff that I consider to be the best of the best (anyone remember that movie with Eric Roberts?) or – at the very …
Today, Palm announced the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus for Verizon. Both devices will be available starting January 25. What’s new about the Pre Plus is a boost in internal memory from 8GB to 16GB. AT&T is the last of the major wireless companies to offer a phone operating with the Android OS. The first will likely …
