Last month, I had one burning question for Mario Bros. creator, Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto. I asked him why Princess Peach isn’t a playable character in the new Mario game, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which was just released yesterday.

He said:

Well, originally I thought it would be nice to have Princess Peach in there as a playable

Rapture: 10 Years Later (Lev and I Freak Out Over BioShock 2)

Raise your hand if the original BioShock title from 2K gave you the heebie-jeebies. It’s okay, no one can see how much of a weenie you are on the Internets if you raise your hand. I promise. Just the thought of certain splicers gives me goosebumps. So you can imagine my apprehension at the prospect of reentering Rapture at any point in …

Time’s Best Inventions of 2009; or, Why I’m Not Posting Right Now

Remember that thing Time does every fall, where we pick the best inventions of the year? No? Now? Still not?

Interview: Warren Spector x Disney Epic Mickey

Last week we sat down with Warren Spector and spoke to him about his upcoming project: Disney Epic Mickey. The artwork looks amazing despite the Wii’s lackluster graphics capabilities. This is a Mickey that we’ve never seen before. It’s a radical change for Disney from what Spector told us. We also learned that Warren is a huge …

New Bioshock 2 Trailer

It’s above.

Everything’s bigger, faster, louder — in other words very sequel-y. But it’s still about moral choices, people. You’re not actually supposed to enjoy incinerating splicers with your awesome plasmids!

The Top 10 Games of 2009

The other day Peter and I were floating around on our hoversofas being fed grapes by our sexy robot servants when the question of the year’s top 10 games came up.

It seems ridiculously early in the year, but for various reasons having to do with the exciting field of magazine production, we have to start thinking about it.

So here …
