March Madness: How Does This Work?

So it looks like there is a bit of confusion and anger regarding our March Madness picks. Allow me to clarify so that you might better understand how and why we made the choices that we did.

Let’s start off with the four divisions and why the characters we have are there: Rapture, Oolong Island, Narnia and Phantom Zone.

Rapture

March Madness: It’s On Like Donkey Kong!

Welcome to the showdown, folks.

Who will take the top prize as the most villainous super villain in TECHLAND’s March Madness tournament? Are the raptors from Jurassic Park clever enough to defeat the Smoke Monster from LOST in their first round match? Is Doctor Horrible horrible enough to take on Mordred? Can Lucy Van Pelt topple …

Why You Need the Springpad iPhone App

I’m not the most organized man in the history of men but it’s not for lack of trying. It’s more for lack of will, determination, time, time management skills, cleanliness (both personally and around the house), money, proper genetic predisposition to organization, and more.

Mostly it’s because it seems like too much work, even though …

Whom The Gods Would Destroy: The God of War III Review

In Greek mythology, mortals usually ascend to godhood for acts of great valor or sacrifice, like Hercules enduring the torment of his 12 labors. Kratos, hero of Sony’s God of War franchise, snatched his divinity from Ares in the series’ first game. In the second game, Zeus kicked the angry warrior off Olympus for showing favor to his …

March Madness: The Super Villain Edition

The idea of having our own March Madness tournament was born from a lame villain bracket that showed up on some news aggregator some months ago. The picks seemed super unoriginal and if I remember correctly the winner of the 8-man tournament was Q from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Nothing against Q but I could name a dozen villains …

The 10 Best Camera Apps for the iPhone

The iPhone’s meager 2- or 3-megapixel camera is only as good as the software powering it behind the scenes. And that’s no more evident than the list we’ve compiled today. It certainly isn’t the definitive iPhone camera app list, but we’re pretty sure it’s close.

Here’s our list of favorite iPhone camera apps in no …

The Hottest Witches of All-TIME

On this date 318 years ago, the Salem Witch trials began when Sarah Good, Sarah Osborne and Tituba, a slave from Barbados, were charged with witchcraft. By all accounts it appears the odds were against Good from the get go despite false accusations that were proven as such in court. But then again, Good did declare Minister Nicholas …

Hive Mind: What We’re Looking Forward To In March

The year’s shortest month is coming to an end and I have to admit that it was chock full of nerdery.

LOST made its triumphant return for its final season. Be sure to join in on the E-mail Chain every week with Allie and me. Breck Eisner’s remake of George A. Romero’s The Crazies is out tomorrow, but Hollywood seems to have …
