Google just unveiled its plans for a major shakeup of the computer industry. It’s a classic three-pronged approach consisting of Google’s Chrome web browser, the newly-opened Chrome Web Store, and the upcoming Chrome Operating System. Let’s take a closer look.
Google’s Mark DeLoura took the stage at the Game Developers Conference in Europe and said that the Chrome Web Store will launch this fall, “most likely in October.”
Citing the difficulty inherent in finding web-based applications, Google has announced its own web store, fittingly called the Chrome Web Store. It’ll feature one-click purchases tied to your Google account, and purchased browser-based applications will appear right on your Chrome start page.
