TechCrunch is reporting that HP has scrubbed its Windows 7 tablet because a) Windows 7 makes for a horrible tablet OS and b) they’re said to be abandoning Intel-based hardware altogether.
Engadget has managed to get a hold of an internal Hewlett Packard document that directly compares the HP Slate tablet to Apple’s iPad.
Spanish-language site Clipset.net apparently got some hands-on time with the HP Slate and revealed that European pricing will be set at 400 Euro, which is equivalent to just under $550 here in the US.
