Even though he may have lost credibility (and popularity) with movies like Lady In The Water and The Happening, one question that follows M. Night Shyamalan around has always been whether he’ll ever make a sequel to Unbreakable, his second (and, in my opinion, best) movie. After years of teasing, it seems that the answer is yes… and no. Shyamalan will be making the movie, he says, but it won’t be an Unbreakable sequel. Confused yet?
And this is why moviemakers have PR people. M. Night Shyamalan went a little off the approved script at a The Last Airbender press conference in Mexico when someone said that audiences had lost faith in his work following movies like The Lady In The Water, and the whole thing was caught on video.
Sorry, Universal. Fans haven’t forgotten The Last Airbender quite yet.
