Not on board the Doctor Who lovefest yet (And after this weekend's episode - which I'll write about shortly - you really have no excuse)? Well, the BBC are making it very easy for you to join in: The DVD/BluRay release of the show's fifth season won't just feature all thirteen episodes of Matt Smith's first year as the Doctor, it'll also feature two brand-new mini-episodes written by showrunner Steven Moffat himself, called "Meanwhile, in the TARDIS."
It may not have had alternate sideways universes, magical last-minute appearances of dogs or vague promises of the afterlife, but Saturday’s episode of Doctor Who may nonetheless have been the most entertaining thing on television this weekend.
Doctor Who fans are a patient lot, but it’s well past time for the series to get back into a reliable weekly rhythm. Don’t you think?
