Apparently we all caught Pac-Man Fever last Friday which is just as serious, if not more serious, than Cat Scratch Fever. It’s nowhere near as serious as a fever wherein the only prescription is more cowbell, but it’s still serious.
Oh Google, how do you make so many wonderful things free? I don’t get it! You’re not using all of my non-identifying personal web surfing habits to sell advertising are you? Oh, you are? That’s okay—free Pac-Man!
Today marks the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man. Well, it’s technically tomorrow May 22, which it is in Japan right now, so we’re going with that since it’s a Japanese game. Anyway, the Google Doodles team wanted to do something special and they certainly delivered.
Finally an answer to the ages-old question of where Pac-Man’s been lately. It seems he’s retired to one of Saturn’s moons. Mimas, as it’s called, shows Pac-Man frozen in full-on chomp mode as he prepares to eat Herschel Crater, which resembles a nice big power pellet.
