Only a couple days left, until Kick-Ass mania finally descends on unsuspecting movie fans. Last night, we posted our first (spoiler-free) Kick-Ass review – our first glance at one of the darker and more interesting superhero thrillers of recent memory. I don’t think I’ll be ruining much if I tell you it ends on an ambiguous note that leaves wide open the possibility for a sequel.
I believe it was Herzog who said that we are a culture starved for new images. I’d go even further, and say that what we’re really grasping for are new experiences. Something that skews against the routine, that mashes together familiar elements into something wholly fresh and unexpected.
