Director Steven Spielberg might be going the drama route with his upcoming War Horse, but it seems he’s heading in a sci-fi vein right after that. Deadline reports that Spielberg has signed up to do Robopocalypse, Drew Goddard’s adaptation of the Daniel H. Wilson upcoming novel about a robot vs.human fight for survival. Dinosaurs are the new glee clubs. Or, at least, that seems to be the hope for Fox, who plan to give Steven Spielberg’s new show Terra Nova the pre-summer preview treatment that helped build buzz for Glee last year.
TNT premiered Falling Skies, their new alien invasion show from producer Steven Spielberg and Robert Rodat (the writer behind Saving Private Ryan), at a panel on Friday afternoon that included the world premiere of the show’s first trailer as well as appearances from stars Noah Wyle and Moon Bloodgood, as well as writer and producer Mark Verheiden, and, well, it seemed more than a little familiar.
A new viral marketing campaign has hit the web, ticking through a countdown and threatening an invasion.
Steven Spielberg is definitely coming to Fox.
