Y was one of those books that made you think. Something not always appreciated by the unwashed comic reading masses. Y stood for Yorrick, the last man to survive a planet wide plague that killed off every male mammal at once. Several explanations for the plague are given but writer, Brian K. Vaughan, has never made it clear either in the pages or in interviews. Over the course of this book’s 60 issues a great What If story unfolds with perfect pacing.
