I have to agree with a fellow Time contributor, Blankets is a wonderful read. And make no mistake, this is a read. It weighs in at what feels like 10 pounds of graphic novel. Creator Craig Thompson does a masterful job reminding any reader what it is like to fall in love for the first time. The unique black and white illustrations, done with a brush pen, span over 500 pages of soulful inks.
