Flight of the Navigator

Am I not the only one who fell in love in with this spaceship that a tween could fly? The stairs are like globs of liquid titanium that can rearrange themselves at will. The computer is basically a nerdy, curious pet, seeking attention and an education. The alien species hitching a ride are cute and adorable. This isn’t outer space made scary, mysterious, or violent but instead a spaceship made cute and cuddly. It’s almost a playground of sorts, with one hell of an easy two-hand steering column – think piloting a spaceship with a couple Wii controllers – and a shiny shell that reflects the surroundings when it’s not shape-shifting from a blimp-like design to that of a knife slicing through the atmosphere.
