The title of Crisis on Two Earths is a riff on “Crisis on Earth-Two”–the title of Justice League of America #22, the 1963 comic book that concluded the League’s first team-up with their Golden Age, alternate-dimension counterparts, the Justice Society of America. (As of the mid-’80s and Crisis on Infinite Earths, the League and the Society have retroactively always been in the same dimension. Don’t ask.)
