The Globes on Top of the Star Destroyers

You know those two big knobby things on top of the Star Destroyers? They were dorky, and just because they were dorky, it felt like they must be doing something incredibly important. They must be functional. Because why else would you put dorky globes on your spaceship?

    Those are containers for antennas. They protect the antennas. They are actually used in real life.

    I’ve actually been to where they filmed for Yavin IV. It’s a place in guatemala. I stood on one of the temples where they filmed certain ship scenes

    Correction – Those are the shield generators.

    navydcguy is the only one who is right, I feel like the biggest nerd ever knowing this, I don’t even know that much about Star Wars, but I remember playing X-Wing and Tie Fighter, and you always had to blow up those things first to take down the shields.
