Things I Didn’t Know Existed Until Today: Technotise

So I didn’t find anything over the weekend that caught me off guard or I didn’t already know about. But late last night, a tipster sent over a fan made trailer for a live action version of Aleksa Gajić and Darko Grkinić’s Serbian comic Technotise. I know nothing about this comic or the animated sequel, Technotise: Edit & I (trailer below).

I’m not entirely sure if this flew under the radar or if I’m the only one that missed it, but my mind is officially blown. Here’s the plot according to the Wikipedia entry:

The plot is set in 2074 Belgrade. The main character is Edit, a female psychology student. After failing the same university exam for the sixth time, she decides to visit a dealer on the black market who installs a stolen military chip in her body to help pass the exam. To her surprise, the chip affords her abilities greater than she ever imagined, which is quickly overshadowed by the discovery that the chip is rapidly taking over her mind and body. Now, Edit must race against time to save her humanity while simultaneously thwarting the nefarious parties desperate to retrieve the technology inside her.

Why am I writing about it now? So the guy who made the popular Green Lantern fan trailer last year was tapped by “some producers in Hollywood” to work his magic again for an upcoming live action adaption of Technotise. Check it out.

Does anyone know anything about the comic or original movie? I’m obsessing.

Thanks for the tip, Davis!
