Microsoft’s X10 Wrap-up: Dates For Halo Reach Beta, Alan Wake, and More

Microsoft’s X10 event is wrapping up in San Francisco. The most notable pieces of info coming out of the one-day Xbox 360 media presentation were street dates for some of the year’s AAA titles. A multiplayer beta for Halo: Reach comes your way on May 3rd followed closely by Alan Wake on May 18th.

Shortly before Capcom’s Dead Rising sequel drops on August 31st, a downloadable prologue, Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO, will be available exclusively on Xbox Live. Activision also formally announced that the first downloadable content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (most likely a multiplayer map pack) will arrive this spring first on Xbox Live and then on PS3 at a later date.

Unfortunately, Microsoft still isn’t able to give street dates for two games that I’m looking forward to – Fable III and Crackdown 2 – but with the amount of other juicy info coming out of today’s event, I’m not complaining.
