During his spiel at the Goldman Sachs technology conference Tim Cook addressed the giant pink elephant that’s been sitting in the corner for the last three years: Apple TV. According to Apple’s COO, the set-top box is still a “hobby” and they’re going with their “gut” by keeping it around. Apple isn’t interested in making TVs either or Cook is lying through his teeth.
On the iPad front, Apple will initially sell the device through traditional channels (Apple.com and Apple Stores), but will eventually sell the device through indirect channels like Best Buy. That is all.
