Made for anyone whose shameless Web presence was cut short due to family members infiltrating social media, this video has been gaining viral-levels of attention this week. On the surface, it pokes fun at the ‘clueless’ appearance of older family members’ attempts at navigating social media, when it’s actually proving that maybe it’s the parents themselves who should be ashamed of what their kids post online, not vice versa.
Really, I’ve never had a beef with parents on the ol’ Facebook. Hell, my Grams is on Facebook and I love it. Besides, someone once told me that if I couldn’t do something in front of my mother and my preacher, then I shouldn’t do it at all. To that person I now say: That’s what limited profiles are for.
