Evan had the March 28th date pegged a month ago, but here it is straight from the source. Nintendo has officially announced that the DSi XL will be available at the end of the month for $190.

The big difference (pun intended) between the currently-available DSi and the impending DSi XL is the DSi XL’s 4.2-inch screen size versus the DSi’s 3.25-inch screen size. Nintendo’s press release also says the DSi XL’s screens “are 93 percent larger than those on the Nintendo DS Lite system.”

Aside from the bigger screens, there’s not a whole lot of difference between the DSi and DSi XL except that the XL costs $20 more and will come with a larger stylus and three games: Brain Age Express, Math and Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, and Photo Clock.
