Hello, greatest thing I’ve laid eyes on this week.
This fake commercial shot in 1998 features the figurine likenesses of literary pioneering sisters Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte as feminist vigilantes fighting against the evils of a man’s publishing world – complete with fake mustaches.
My favorite part of its YouTube description: “Its educational value was somewhat suspect. It was never aired.” Educational merits, be damned. This is female empowerment at its finest. Disagree all you want, but make sure you stick around for the 1:30 mark for BRONTESAURUS!
