If you hadn’t heard by now, Samsung is launching four high-end Android devices across all four major U.S. carriers under the Galaxy S banner. The first to hit is the Captivate for AT&T, which launches July 18 for $199.99 (no MIR required). With a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera (sans flash but it records HD video) and 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, the Captivate is a mighty fine Android device even though it’s only running Éclair. At least it’s not running Samsung’s janky Cube UI or whatever it is.
