Samsung’s much-rumored Android-powered Galaxy Tab could end up being a total wash. A firmware update that was released over the weekend supposedly reveals a few key specs.
The Super AMOLED screen on the 7-inch Galaxy Tab could end up with a sub-par 480 x 800 resolution or 1024 x 600. The rear camera isn’t much better with 2048 x 1536 resolution (QXGA at 3.1 megapixels) with the front-facing camera shooting QVGA (320 x 240).
Usual suspects like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 1GHz processor are also on board the Android tablet but if the screen resolution is that low, then we should probably all pass on this generation.
