Kodak Playtouch: This One Might Be Good, I Swear

The Playtouch is the third or fourth video camera from Kodak that may actually be worth its weight in gold. As far as pocketable video cameras go at least.

It shoots in full HD (built-in digital image stabilization!) and has a 3-inch capacitive touch-screen but the external mic jack for stereo recording is the one bright spot on a rather ordinary product announcement.

Like its predecessor, the Playtouch makes it easy to share content to YouTube, Facebook or e-mail with a one-click share button. There’s HDMI out (cable included), 5-megapixel still grabs, built-in USB port and up to 10 hours of HD recording.

Look for the Playtouch this fall in black, chrome, magenta, orange and teal for $229.95.

Press release after the jump.
