T-Mobile has confirmed that the G2 will be made by HTC and that it will run Android 2.2. An 800MHz Snapdragon processor (MSM7230) will run the show behind a 3.7-inch touch-screen “with a unique hinge design” that opens up to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. The G2 will ship with a plethora of Google services built-in, including Earth, Voice, Goggles, Maps, Gmail, Navigation, etc. Support for Flash will come out of the box along with 4GB of built-in memory and a 8GB microSD card. A 5-megapixel AF camera with LED flash and HD (720p) video recording bring up the rear on what sounds like every Android fans dream come true.

Still no word on price or an exact launch date but current customers will be able to pre-order the G2 later this month.
