Not that this should come as a huge surprise to anyone, but Microsoft will be holding the “Windows Phone 7 Worldwide Launch Event” in New York City next Monday, the 11th.

The company will be showcasing how Windows Phone 7 integrates with existing Microsoft products and T-Mobile and AT&T will be at the event to show off various Windows Phone 7 handsets.

The event invitation mentions “T-Mobile powered Windows Phone 7 devices and an early preview of some of our applications that will be available at launch,” which seems to indicate that the event will simply be an unveiling, with actual device availability to come in the future. AT&T will be at the event as well, while Verizon and Sprint handsets aren’t expected until next year.

Recent rumors have suggested that Europe will get the first Windows Phone 7 handsets October 21st, with US availability to follow November 8th.
