Gabriela Cedillo, the extra injured on the set of Transformers 3 when a slab of metal sliced into her skull during a stunt gone wrong leaving her partially paralyzed and unable to speak as a result, is suing Paramount Pictures for negligence. Cedillo’s attorney, Todd A. Smith, told CBS 2 in Chicago that neither his client nor other extras involved with the stunt in question were given any warning of the dangers involved, despite the fact that the same stunt had failed a day earlier. The lawsuit, brought by her brother and legal guardian Adolfo Romo, is seeking damages upwards of $50,000. In response, Paramount released a statement which promised “[t]he production will continue to provide all the help we can to Gabriela and her family during this difficult time.”
