Comcast subscribers now have access to the company’s XfinityTV.com website, which boasts “nearly 150,000 video choices,” according to the press release. The service has been available in test markets for a while, but is now available everywhere.

You sign in with your Comcast user name and password, the site cross-references your credentials with your subscription package, and you’re then able to watch shows and movies from channels you get through your cable box. You can use the site to schedule recordings to show up on your cable box, too, which is a nice touch.

The service is available to Comcast subscribers wherever they are in the US no matter which internet service provider they use, which is helpful for travelers who want to be able to watch their favorite shows while on the road. Download-to-keep episodes are available for certain shows as well, with pricing set at around $2 per episode and playable on up to three computers.
