Despite the fact that Sony has yet to announce any plans for a PlayStation Phone, images of the device leaked this morning on the Chinese web site IT68. Since then, the web has been abuzz with photos and videos of the phone, which touts the ability to switch seamlessly from its touchscreen phone function to game-playing mode with the help of the PlayStation Pocket app.

Engadget reports that the phone has a 4-inch touch display, a 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash, a microSD slot and a micro-USB port. The phone, which may be called the Sony Ericsson Xperia, also features slide-out PlayStation controls and a 1,500mAh battery capacity.

Reports suggested that the phone was to be announced at the Mobile World Congress in February and launched in the UK in April, but fortunately for avid gamers, the secret’s already out.
