Dailymotion has decided that it isn’t going to wait for you to decide what to search for anymore. The video site has announced the launch of what it’s calling “on-demand, curated content hubs” collecting videos based around news stories and search trends on the site, with the intent of making it easier for users to find what they’re looking for.

The hubs will be created through a combination of search analytic data and human curation, and will mix permanent hubs including Movie Trailers, Music and the more generic “Celebrity” with time-sensitive temporary hubs in reaction to trends on social media or specific events such as Comic-Con and New York Fashion Week.

Of course, it’s not just about the users: The press release announcing the hubs also contains the helpful line “Dailymotion’s scalable pre-roll advertising, branded entertainment distribution and sponsored-section integration are available for advertisers across all hubs and channels.” Hubs: Also helpful for sorting your users into advertiser-friendly demographic groups, after all.
