If there’s anything I love more than Apple rumors, it’s wildly conflicting Apple rumors that surface within 24 hours of one another.
Bloomberg says the iPad 2 might be delayed until June!
All Things Digital says Apple will announce the iPad 2 next Wednesday!
What about the new MacBook Pros that might launch this Thursday?! Will they be pushed to next Wednesday instead? Maybe! Probably! Or not!
I’m sorry you readers are caught in the middle of all this. This isn’t your fault. Your mother and I both love you very much.
Per Kara Swisher at All Things Digital:
“According to several sources close to the situation, the Wednesday date in a little more than a week is firm and will take place in San Francisco, the scene of many such Apple events.”
The post ends with: “In other words: Let the media frenzy begin!”
I’m all frenzied out. Let’s get some official specs, pricing and availability information in the pipeline. Next Wednesday, if it is indeed the date of the official launch, can’t come soon enough.
Of course, an announcement next Wednesday doesn’t necessarily mean that the product will ship any earlier than June, so it’s still possible that the previous rumors may be—okay, that’s enough. I can’t do it.
Next Wednesday. Enough.
Furthermore, the big question now is whether the ailing Steve Jobs will do the announc—no, no, no. Can’t speculate. Enough. Next Wednesday.
