There’s a lot of music online–more than most people have time to keep up with. That’s why you’ve got us. Every week, we’ll point you toward three excellent new downloads or videos from chart-topping stars, cult favorites and unknown geniuses.

1. The new supergroup Wild Flag–Mary Timony of Helium, Janet Weiss and Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney, and Rebecca Cole of the Minders–have been breaking in their repertoire on tour for a few months. Now they’ve released their first studio recording: a molten rocker called “Glass Tambourine,” which is streaming over at NPR’s All Songs Considered. Meanwhile, The Key is featuring a couple of live clips, notably a cover of Patti Smith’s “Ask the Angels.”

2. On April 26, Of Montreal is following up last year’s False Priest album with an EP called thecontrollersphere. The first song to be released from it is an unusually dark, stark piece called “Black Lion Massacre”: frontman Kevin Barnes has been channeling Prince a lot lately, but this is closer to the industrial dance-noise of Einstürzende Neubauten. You can hear it at Stereogum or trade your email address for a download link at Polyvinyl.

3. Next Monday is Pi Day, a.k.a. 3/14. Celebrate by eating a delicious slice of pie and watching the below video from musician Michael John Blake, who has translated pi (to 31 decimal places) into a canon for accordion, piano, banjo, ukulele and glockenspiel. It sounds pretty good, too.
