Verizon’s 4G HTC Phone Rumored to Debut March 17

If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on Verizon’s first 4G phone, the wait might not be that much longer. Reports say that leaks from within HTC put March 17 as the HTC Thunderbird launch date. But after we expected it to make a debut on Valentine’s Day, perhaps keep those hopes in check.

The HTC Thunderbird is set up to debut as Verizon’s flagship device once it is released. Most importantly, the Android-powered device will be able to run on the 4G LTE network and, among other things, sports a 8MP camera along with all the other super goodies phones are coming with these days.

Apparently, an HTC sales manager got a little bit too excited about the launch and did what he probably shouldn’t have done: shared it on Twitter, which is always a smart move.

Last time, we heard we expected Best Buy to drop the device in stores February 14 — and well, it’s now March, so we all know how that turned out.
