With The Dark Knight‘s Facebook trial being deemed a success, Warner Bros have released five more movies to stream from the social network, and this time they’re going outside of the nerd demographic. As originally announced, Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan’s Inception is now available to stream on the movie’s official Facebook page, but the other movies added are the first two Harry Potter installments (The Sorcerer’s Stone and The Chamber of Secrets), recent animated heresy Yogi Bear and Katherine Heigl chick flick Life As We Know It. Warner Bros. Digital Distribution president, Thomas Gewecke, said in an official release that the studio was “pleased to expand our test with a variety of titles that will appeal to a broad audience,” although he noted that “fan pages for ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Inception’ alone are two of the most popular and active communities on the site.” Perhaps surprisingly to some, the same boast can’t be made for either Yogi Bear or Life As We Know It.
As with The Dark Knight release, users can access the movie for 48 hours after purchase with the ability to pause playing and resume after logging back into the site, as well as being able to post comments on the movie.
