Remember Google Music? You know, the era before Spotify? Google’s launched a music blog called Magnifier to help you discover music that you can add to your Google Music Beta account.
The blog is basically updated every day, spotlighting a specific artist. A couple of songs will be featured, and then each song can be added to your Music Beta account seamlessly, in one click. It’s Google attempt to inject some life back into Music Beta, so if you haven’t been completely won over by the other 90 bajillion audio services that are now out there, it’ll hopefully add some more mojo to your MP3s.

It’s not a terrible idea, but it still doesn’t address the fact that the main way to add music into your account is by uploading your own song library into Music Beta. Which, ladies and gentleman, takes both time and effort. Either way, until more features get added, Magnifier might just have to do.
