Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
All Things D is reporting that, “according to sources close to the situation,” Tuesday, October 4th is the day Apple’s expected to unveil the new iPhone.
And perhaps the more important question: When can you actually get your hands on the iPhone 5? “Sources added that the plan is now to make the new device available for purchase within a few weeks after the announcement,” says All Things D.
Newly-minted Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to run the show on October 4th, though we’ll see if Steve Jobs’ inner Brett Favre gets the better of him—as All Things D ponders, “What better ‘one more thing’ than Jobs himself making a cameo appearance?”
Of course, none of this can be officially confirmed until Apple sends out press invitations for the event. We’ll hopefully know more next week.
