Facebook Settles with FTC over Privacy Issues

Facebook and the Federal Trade Commission have worked out a deal to settle charges that the social network “deceived consumers by telling them they could keep their information on Facebook private, and then repeatedly allowing it to be shared and made public.”

AT&T-T-Mobile Deal Draws Heat in FCC Report

A staff report from the FCC says that AT&T and T-Mobile “provided flawed information to justify AT&T’s planned $39 billion acquisition of its smaller rival.”

Microsoft Office Headed for the iPad?

It could happen, according to what sources told The Daily. It wouldn’t be the first Microsoft app available for Apple portables, and it could provide some healthy competition to Apple’s iPad versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

Google Continues Redesign with Drop-Down Menu

Google will remove the black menu bar that sits atop your browser and replace it with a drop-down menu underneath its logo. Google says the change “will enable you to navigate quickly between our services, as well as share the right stuff with the right people easily on Google+.”

Samsung Gets Galaxy Tab Ban Lifted in Australia

An Australian appeals court overturned a ban on the sale of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, a ban Apple pursued because it claimed the Galaxy Tab was too much like the iPad.
