0.12

Here’s some math that isn’t taught in high school (but probably should be). The average college student spends 106 minutes per day on Facebook, but a study has found thatĀ for every additional 1.5 hours spent on the site, that student’s GPA will drop by 0.12 points. It sounds too strange to be true, but the study by Dr. Rey Junco apparently proves otherwise, leading to its declaration that “the real-world impact of the relationship between time spent on Facebook and grades is negligible at best.” Which is all well and good, but who in the world has the time to spend more than two hours a day on Facebook?
