If you’re a Verizon customer and you’re wondering what’s happened to your data service, you’re not alone. Verizon’s network has been affected by some unknown affliction overnight, leading to 3G and 4G outages across the U.S. The company has confirmed the problem, and is working on a solution (some reports say that many areas have already been restored).
This is the second time in recent months Verizon’s data network has gone down. Earlier this month, the company confirmed that there was “an issue with 4G LTE service” that impacted connectivity. Like the current situation, the outage did not affect all Verizon customers, and was quickly repaired. What is causing the outages, however, hasn’t (yet) been disclosed.
