Apple will apparently be holding an event in New York later this month, according to All Things D. New iPad?! The 4G-enabled iPhone?! New laptops???! An Apple TV set?!!!

Nope, says TechCrunch. The event will reportedly be about books—Apple’s iBooks platform, to be more precise. “Attendance will also be more publishing industry-oriented than consumer-focused,” according to TechCrunch, who cites a source as saying this isn’t a “major” event.

Apple announced its iBooks platform alongside the original iPad back in early 2010—the free iBooks app for iPad and iPhone and its accompanying iBookstore now sport “over 700,000 books and counting” according to Apple.
